TOMORROW’S GROWTH TODAY
Our future began in 2019 as employee benefits experts and avid entrepreneurs – Adrian Parsons, Roshan Chiman and Tyrone Farinha – opened the doors to a consultancy of independent excellence; an intermediary of sheer objectivity and unbiased choice.
They founded a new breed of firm with one goal in mind: to right the ratio between spend and benefits in tailored financial risk services. Applying their depth of industry knowledge and experience, they sought to achieve this by relying on conversation before the transaction.
The trio further prioritised putting a keen understanding of corporates structures and client objectives first. They made personal engagement an unwavering guiding principle in serving entities and members alike.
Chiman, Parsons and Farinha set themselves an accountability bar as they set the mandate to serve corporates with independent excellence – not only for today but for tomorrow. Even their chosen name for the firm spoke to this, as “KHUSA” is a derivative of the Zulu phrase ukukhula kwakusasa meaning tomorrow’s growth.
Our KHUSA journey started with the servicing of 10 clients by the end of our first year in business.
By the close out of year two, our book of business had grown to 25 clients. Now over 50 KHUSA consultants serve over 170 corporate clients in South Africa and other African countries. With a comprehensive range of employee benefits intermediary services, we have assumed the responsibility of managing the well-being of nearly 70,000 lives.

Community
SPREADING THE HAPPINESS
Our people have a real appetite for outreach in communities which includes supporting people in need through nutrition and feeding programmes. We support the amazing Microcosmic Kitchen that finds and supports Kitchen Warriors in areas within South Africa needing help to amplify in-community food provision and sharing. What’s great about the programme is how each Kitchen Warrior who cooks for their community is able to grow their cooking teams and help more people.

Our executive team is committed to KHUSA being a conscious and purposeful business that offers corporates sure-footed growth and support structures.
Roshan has served in the insurance industry for over 17 Years. Prior to joining KHUSA Consulting, he completed his articles at PWC and developed his career in the finance and investments sectors. He subsequently joined JLT where he served on multiple Boards, directing the finances of businesses including the Employee Benefit, Marine, Corporate Short-Term and Holdings entities. Roshan’s most recent designation within JLT was that of Group CFO – South Africa.
Adrian has served in the employee benefits industry for over 28 years. Prior to joining KHUSA Consulting, he was responsible for business development within the JLT South Africa Group. He was an Executive Director and Owner of Eluleka Consulting, which he sold to JLT. Adrian has also been the Managing Director of Healthcare at NMG Consultants and Actuaries.
Over the past 30 years Tyrone has been at the helm of both local and multi-national businesses in South Africa including NMG Consultants and Actuaries, Eluleka Consulting – which he founded in 2005 – and Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT). During this time, he has earned a reputation for developing and balancing the expectations of clients, staff, shareholders and regulators alike.
